Working alongside our community with compassion to strengthen lives, expand belonging, and enrich the cultural life of Nashville.
Mission
Clay Blevins Family Foundation supports efforts that strengthen individuals, families, and communities across Nashville through direct social support, community partnership, and cultural and artistic engagement. We believe lasting change happens when human dignity is addressed alongside opportunity, and when a community's cultural life reflects the full breadth of its people's stories.
We approach social challenges, including homelessness, as complex issues that extend beyond any single intervention. And we approach art and culture not as a separate interest, but as a core expression of the same belief: that every person and every story deserves to be seen.
Focus Areas
Social Impact
Homelessness prevention and support services; housing stability and pathways to permanent housing; and community-based partnerships grounded in long-term local commitment.
Arts & Culture
Support for artists and cultural institutions whose work explores dignity, identity, and belonging; expanded public access to meaningful artistic experiences; and long-term cultural stewardship through the Clay Blevins Collection LLC.
Community Partnership
Investment in Nashville-based organizations and leaders who are closest to the communities they serve, across both social and cultural sectors.
Arts & Culture
The Clay Blevins Family Foundation serves as the long-term steward of the Clay Blevins Collection LLC, and treats art and culture as a full pillar of its mission, not an adjacent interest.
Our artistic focus is guided by a belief that art helps us see one another more fully, especially people and communities that are overlooked in public life. Support is directed toward artists whose work explores dignity, identity, and belonging through lived experience and cultural knowledge.
Pathways to Stability: Housing Initiative
A safe, secure home is what allows a person to heal, to plan for tomorrow, and to fully belong to a community. Compassion means recognizing that the path home is rarely a straight line. That's why we support the kind of sustained, human-centered care that meets people where they are, from street outreach through permanent housing, walking alongside them for as long as it takes.
Support is directed toward organizations providing comprehensive, housing-first services, including behavioral health and recovery support, benefits and income stabilization, family reunification, and sustained case management that helps people achieve lasting stability.
